I suspect that the link is that people have created a hysteria about each of the situations listed that later turned out to be unwarranted.
However, it should be stated that on some of these occasions, certain politically well connected individuals have created the situation and then benefitted massively.
If you put Brexit into this group then the question has to be asked...
Which individuals created the situation and how much do they stand to gain financially.

As I understand it, all of those advocating leaving are doing so for purely altruistic reasons. None of them stand to gain a thing. It’s simply a way of helping those who have the least, to shake the shackles of EU bondage.

Well apart from the town in Italy and of course UK leaving the EU - seems a rather crass attempt to be either clever or humorous.

No, the illnesses weren't created. However, the theory is that the severity and likelihood of worldwide escalation was massively overstated, allowing drug companies to sell large amounts of vaccinations/cures at vastly inflated prices.

But AIDS is worldwide - massively, as for the rest maybe I’m niave but the impact was already vast with the amount that passed away.
