Freeloaders!

Sometimes I don't mind doing the odd favour for folk if it takes me two mins to fix in front of them. It's the ones that just barge in with their PC's expecting me to fix them.

I have noticed though that some Work/Life balance thing going round work actually has written on it that all PC repairs will be carried out by our dept free of charge. Ermm no?
 
Years ago I was taught " wheels within wheels" it's not a bad philosophy if everyone adhered to it. Some peoples wheels fell off years ago though.
 
I'll always do a favour for someone I know if a) it doesn't interfere with paid work, and b) costs are met.

I like to think of it as karma, doing good stuff leads to good things happening

That was how I used to operate too. Only know it's all take take take with little coming back. My boss and I were talking about it yesterday too. He felt the same way.

Your experience and opinion, which of course you're 100% entitled to. You never know when the good stuff coming back is just around the corner though.......
