A wonderhorse, don't think i'll ever have the pleasure of seeing such a good racehorse again in my lifetime.

Truly inspirational horse!

On another note, his trainer Henry Cecil, I fear he's near the end, good luck fella in fighting your cancer.

There will be a better horse, that is the nature of things, there are always improvements, but until then lets all bask in the glory of the best racehorse of a generation. Frankle we salute you .

Horses aren't something I know a thing about but I've just got back from holiday where I made friends with a fella from Durham. Having his own stables, the guy was a fanatic on horses and spoke highly of both frankel and Cecil and it was just interesting listening to his enthusiasm.

I hope I was enthusiastic when talking about golf and football, the common ground being the latter although he was a mackem

It's widely known that mackems know nothing about football :D

A timeform rating of 147 will be more or less impossible to beat.

Agree.Clare Balding was saying 2 mins before the off Frankel was on Timeform rating of 140 to Dancing Brave's 141.DB was the best horse horse I had ever seen (from the 80's era ) until Frankel. If its gone up to 147 rating after today that is fantastic. You just cannot see that ever being beaten.

I am so pleased I saw the horse win in the flesh at York recently. Now what do I want to see next??!!..Madness at Newcastle on Dec 8th..lol.

I relived my youth and went to see the Pet Shop Boys, Christ took me right back to the 80s!

Madness are absolute class tho fella

Crowds were massive. Like a mini Royal Ascot but good to see him win. Though the going might account against the best ever. 14 out of 14. Will that be matched especially at such a high level. No in my lifetime

Not a big fan of horse racing but watched Frankel's final win with my Dad who is now bed bound. He's a huge racing fan and it was a real treat for me to listen to him talking about racing for ages during and after the race. The horse looks effortless when running as if he is from a different genetic pool, a bit like Usain. Also, big kudos to Sir Henry Cecil - stomach cancer ain't stopping him from seeing his lifetime's best achievement .

At least it's good to see a horse trying to win in what has long been regarded in the most corrupt of sports!

(cycling apart)

This is kind of my point. Footballers play twice a week, athletes and cyclists compete pretty much monthly, tennis players and golfers pretty much every weekend.

A horse, runs 14 two minute races, and we get excited?

I may be wrong but I am pretty sure the horse doesn't just roll over in the hay, scratch his baws and then get up and head to the racecourse for his 5 minute race and that's his sum total of work for the week.....a fair bit of training goes in.

Your not a racing fan Murph, that's fine, but don't talk out your hoop please.

Not into dog food racing. Is 14 races of about 5 minutes each really a career?

The 100's of hours of training Frankel has been put through makes it a career.

A wonderful horse that was running on almost bottomless ground, missed the break by 3 lengths and still won by 2lengths hands and heels. Fantastic.
