What does that response have to do with me suggesting switching the skin to the mobile version on your iPad ?!
 
It's optimized for mobile and desktop

Both work well enough and I can't see the issue with either

Think the mobile version is great and have it on iPhone a ipad.

The desktop also works well enough on I pad also

I'm just pointing out possible reasoning of SVB's post.

Yes there are little glitches, but on the whole pretty good.

All looks pretty good for me

Just can't see how I can mark all forums read on the mobile version but it's no hassle
 
Couple of issues on mobile format....
1. Where are the Smiley's..?
2. I can't see how to quote a previous post.....

Any ideas?

Not sure about smilies

But to quote a post and the bottom is an arrow then two boxes with quotation marks - pick the box next to the arrow :thup:
 
Yep its on Android...
Can't see the arrows LPP suggested....
I can do it from the Full Site - that looks very similar to the previous setup..
 
I'm finding the post's typeface a bit indistinct which may be caused by it being on an off white background.
We oldies need all the help we can get.
Any chance the definition could be improved?

Tap in the bottom right hand corner of the post you want to quote and you'll find a hidden tab - seems like the text is in the same colour print as the background.
Hopefully something fixable.
 
Its a windows phone (Nokia 710), why would the features/skin be different for different phones?
 
Thanks to all who have been helping fellow forumers get to grips with the functions and nuances of the new formats

I will perhaps leave it a few more days for everyone to acclimatise to it and then ask for any issues you're still wrestling with or suggestions for further features etc to be reported on a clean thread

I will then ask the tech guys to have a look and see if they can help fix any issues and implement any suggested changes.

As I said in the original post highlight the new format was coming we have made the changes to allow us to serve the ad formats that advertisers want to use and for us to highlight some of the key content we have running on the main site

That format is here to stay. I guess if you really don’t like it you'll find another forum to post on where you find it easier on the eye!
