Forum order of merit - golf gear to be won

Hi all
to acknowledge the superb standard of golf chat on this forum were going to introduce a 'GM forum order of merit' with prizes (it will be decent golf kit I promise) for the following

1. Poster of the month - the person who has submitted the most post between now (current leaderboard below) and 12noon on Monday 15th October. NB we will deduct from your tally any posts submitted that are blatant attempts to ramp up your totals!

2. Post of the month - as judged by the GM editorial team (nominations from users very much welcome) to what we think was the best post submitted to the forum between now and 12noon on Monday 15th October

Poster of the month: might as well hand the "decent golf kit" to birdieman now. He seems fairly smart and popular here although he could be an axe-weilding homicidal maniac for all we know.

As for Post of the Month, I think it was shanker who called the sports psychologist's stuff "utter shite" which, whilst possibly not entirely true, was enough to make me smile.

I think that shanker should be declared Diplomatic Envoy for GM.

Maybe shanker is actually Kofi Annan, former chief bottlewasher at the UN. Now that Kofi's retired he's got more time to post on golf forums and stuff like that.

But I laughed out loud at it for the first time in weeks.
Do we all think shanker has had a bad experience with a psychologist in the past? I think he may need some therapy to calm down as I can see him knocking on every Psychologists door in Edinburgh asking if their name is Domonic and punching him out.

Shanker's problem will be getting the home addresses of all Sports Psychologists in Edinburgh. Hmm, maybe that's an internet business opportunity:

Mildly embarrased to be top of the league -what does that tell you other than I get bu*ger all work done!
Not sure this will work, we all currently post for fun, don't like the idea of being forced to post when you dont feel inspired to. Quite like the idea of winning something though -that would be a first!

Nice to promote the forum, but how about something for the person who starts the most popular/interesting thread, rather than (or as well as) best single post?
A good question spawns lots of good posts - quality and quantity!
