Forum meet up/drinks @ the Open

Hi all
Hope you all enjoyed the BMW...
just wanted to gauge what sort of interest there might be for a GM forum meet up at the Open - probably at a pub one evening in Southport after the day's play.
A couple of beers, a lot of golf chat... you know the drill
Good/bad idea?
What do you reckon

I Think it's an excellent idea Mike.
I Won't make the Open this year, but it's a great idea.
You're a year late. I did it last year. I just forgot to invite anyone.

I agree it is a sterling idea, unfortunately I won't be in attendance but I am sure anyone going would be more than happy to have a pint or two. How many of the GM boys are going?

It is an excellent idea Mike.

As my wife and i are expecing our first child on the 17th of July I would have to say that it is unlikely that i will be allowed to make an appearance. It will be the first open I have missed since 1994.

I will work on it though

great idea, not far from me, if i can get the time off i would love to get to it for a day.

Never actually been to a live golfing event so would be great if i could meet up with someone to show me whats what and would be great to meet everyone over a pint!

I was thinking of the Friday night as the team have various events to attend Monday-Thursday

StuartD don't risk it. I went to the grand national on the day my son was due. I've not been to a race meeting since and that was 22 years ago.
