For The Gamers Amongst Us: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2011

Must admit I was pretty dissapointed in 10, hardly any difference than 9 really. Felt like id paid £30 quid for a small expansion pack.

10 was the first one I'd bought since the PS2 and to be honest it didn't make me go wow.

It's being traded in with a few others for Red Dead Redemption and then it's Fallout New Vegas and COD;Black Ops.

Between those and the golf days I think I'll be in my brownie points overdraft

:D

I have no time for golf games... I'm too addicted to COD MW2. I also have Splintercell conviction but not really played it yet as I cant help thinking I'm wasting good ranking up time on cod...Sad I know.

Red Dead Redemption is taking my time now. Re-living all those classic westerns in a grand theft auto style.

Is red dead a proper go anywahere do anything?

How big is the map and how are the choices of things to do in comparison to GTA?

I bought Alan wake and completed it in two days, I was hugely disapointed having waited 5 years for it with the promise of open map game play. It was more Resi evil follow the path and shoot! :(

The big difference in gameplay is in TW10 they introduced a "realistic" swing mechanism. Rather than the three-tap system that's been with us since Links (tap to start the swing, tap to set power/draw/fade and tap again to determine accuracy/hook/slice) you now use the left thumbstick: pull back and push forward, and the timing and path the stick movement takes determines what the hit and flight will be like.

TW07 on PS2 had the joystick swing - and gave you teh option of left hand or right hand.

TW09 however doesnt give you the option to switch Left/right ??? So you develop a great technique with one hand, and then (2 versions later) have to learn a new one

It is a real go anywhere, shoot anything, map a decent size so far but expect more to open up. slightly less populated than GTA but to be expected given the setting. Plenty of challenges to keep it interesting

sneds: Half an hour of playing without changing weapons? hehe, that made me laugh. :)

Timberbonce: Love MW2. Finished the single-player missions far too quickly, but the multiplayer side to it is fantastic. Still only L45 or so. Conviction is fantastic, but then I'm a stealth/sniper kind of FPSer, rather than a run-in-the-middle-of-a-crowd-with-grenades-in-both-hands CounterStrike reject. ;) Actually, I find the BF series allows for a nice mixture of both playing styles -- particularly BFBC2.

Just worn out the woods demo within an hours of playing.

I hope the demo isn't a true reflection of the graphics cause they are pants. Conidering how well EA have done with fifa, this looks last a last gen console effort.

Game plays a little better but I still want to see caddies on the bag/green, holding/attending the flag, the option to walk to your ball and stroll the course etc.

Dont think I'll be buying 11!

Whats your name on there can I add you as a friend? It's pretty addictive you know...I mean I'm still pants at it, but it's quite fun. I created one of each type and definitely prefer the gunner.
