For the flying display lovers...........

We were staying in a B&B up North a good few years ago now. Miles from anywhere, when we suddenly heard a commotion. Looked up, and there was a group of A10's buzzing around. Absolutely amazing, not the fastest, nowhere near the loudest. But the manoeuvres they were pulling were absolutely fantastic. Never seen 'planes turn and swoop like they did. Big flaps help ....

I’ll raise you a herc doing a loop straight from take off!

Great footage Rob!
I used to go to a society day at a golf course right next to Farnborough Airport. The day was always when the Airshow was on.
We saw the Delta bomber, red arrows, the Airbus amongst others, but the star of the show was the European Jet Fighter. I've never heard anything so loud, it was absolutely awesome to watch!
The golf was pretty good too!

Lived near plenty of air force bases in my life from the '70s onwards....there's nothing like a pilot in a Phantom pointing the planes nose to the sky and hitting the afterburners when you are pretty much directly below.

Haven't been to an air show since I was a nipper, but do any of these modern planes make as much noise as an EE Lightning on full reheat?

The BAE Lightning could climb faster than a Phantom.
