FOR SALE Brand new Full Set of Titleist Men's Clubs

If you have a For Sale forum on a golfing website I think you really should expect people to be on there trying to sell things. Seems pretty obvious really, but clearly I have come to the wrong place judging by some of the stupid responses.

I feel your pain. Seriously.

I'm a Ping Fann but wouldn't turn down a free set of Titleists any day of the week if I won a comp.

There again if I won a brand new car I'd probably want a cash alternative.

tbh happy with what I'm playing with & can't afford to spend a great deal in 2009; so the suggestion of also trying golfbidder is probably the winner as they are a middleman type oganisation & will probably give a reasonable price & fairly readily too.

This sounds like sexism to me now. I'm actually a golf professional and write for a golf magazine. Keep your comments coming please, this is going to make for quite an interesting article! And keep hacking away on the course chaps, seems like you all need to work on your handicaps...

Todays golfer or golf punk by any chance, and I aint got a handicap. :D

Strangeley the last female to post a "for sale" as their first post got quite a warm welcome.

Come on guys if you're not interested..... don't respond.

The best way to deal with spamming is to just ignore it and let it fall down the lists

If they are a genuine poster, they may contribute to the forum.

I'm a little disappointed you thought that all of these replies were sexist.I explained the reasoning behind any precived animosity and the plauge of spam posts and just pointed out that coming on here without contributing to the main forum may not be the best chance of selling the gear.

Having looked at my post I'm pretty sure there was anything sexist in there at all (to be honest the "call Louise..." never even registered) and I actually assumed you were a gentleman.

I am genuinely interested to know how a professional can't find a suitable buyer privately with their contacts and why you think writing for a magazine will make a difference. I've also done magazine and blog writing and hope to write for magazines again soon and so I'm not sure what kudos was to be gained from your comment.

I'm not looking to score any cheap digs, make sarcastic comments or to be honest make any sort of judgement. I'm purely interested, seeing how you feel you have been harshly treated, on the answers to my points.

The problem is when we want to have a healthy debate with these newbies coming on here to flog what in some cases are pretty rotten websites and clearly fake gear, they are never brave enough or hang around long enough to engage us. Are you the same?

Sexist, Give over.

Next you'll be playing the race card.

Take 5 minutes to read through MOST of the for sale section and see how all first(only time posters) who are selling are responded to. Take note also, 99% of them are male.

New word for you EQUALITY, put that in your magazine.

1)If this is true.....why didn't you say so?
2)Sexist?....don't see it myself, the jokes were at poor Richard who got well and truly gunned down with his iron selling pitch a while back....
3) If you are real surely you can find an outlet for this kit? I wouldn't try and sell my gear on a forum, I pass bargains and good offers around the trade and/or to mates and business contacts.
4).....I'm done with this thread.....

It's silly. It might (the forum) contain a section for flogging kit, that doesn't mean it's an open offer for all and sundry to sign up and fill the board with kit for sale and not take part. I've advertised some things (cheap, hopefully for another forum-er) and they just get sent off the bottom of the page in quick time.

I'm out.....

I actually find the last comment rather sexist suggesting that chaps hack up the course....now where's that yoghurt I was knitting.....
