for anyone who fell asleep before the end of play last night...

Haha thanks, I couldn't keep my eyes open, nothing to do with the cheeky little wine.

As an aside Mike the 'latest news' on the GM website is seriously out of date :o

I suppose if you look hard enough, you'll see older news.
I just read the report on the linked page which was in my opinion quite up to date.

Stricker struggled a bit yesterday, and fell back into the chasing pack. Its very tight at the top,and i think anybody around level par is still in with a shout.
If Westwood gets the putter working,he could be in contention come Sunday.I thought it quite ironic that Butch Harmon said Thursday that Furyk was struggling with his game, and may be in danger of missing the cut,but he played brilliantly yesterday and forced his way onto the leaderboard.

Are we all thinking its as dull as dishwater as there is only Anders Hanson from Europe in the top 10 ? OR is it because the course does not really seem that interesting?

Furyk was one of my picks, no suprise to me that he's doing well.

I don't think its dull. The first two days of any tournament are quiet (except for big names missing the cut) and its the Saturday and Sunday when things start to get interesting.Lets hope its as close at the top come Sunday, and that hopefully, one of the Brits is still in contention.

Good point. It's easy to forget the open was going much the same way until Sunday when Darren , Phil and Dustin decided to liven it up !!!

At the top the ticker tape style that has 'Latest news' scrolling is what I was referring to, you can't miss it! You don't have to LOOK for older news :p
Just pointing it out ;)

Seems to me you're just looking for something to complain about. Get out and practice your wedges :)

Oh dear, I just pointed out something helpful for GM website, then you came along, maybe take your own advice

Hi DarthVega
the ticker automatically pulls the last 5 stories from the tour news section (where we tend to put our key stories) rather than the very latest things we have added (the USPGA sit in their own microsite so dont get picked up by the ticker).
Agree it's not perfect and rest assured we have it on the to do list for the tech guys but TBH its well down the list
main thing is the switch to a v-bulletin forum which should happen within the next month
