Thinking about getting a pair of AquaLites or Dryjoy Tours (£25 ish price difference) - are the Dryjoy Tours worth the extra?

Regarding sizing how are the FJ vs Adidas as I'm a wide fitting in FJ and I've heard a wide fit in Adidas is Standard in FJ - is this right enough? Anyone got any experience?

Cheers

I have a pair of AQL and a pair of Dryjoys.

Both are exceptonal shoes and extremely well made. The only difference I can tell between the 2 is the weight, with the AQL's being noticably lighter. I like the feel of both on, although the DryJoys have a slightly firmer feel.

As for sizing. I've always found Adidas shoes come up a little small. I had to go a full size up when I tried on some Tour 360's in AG a few weeks back.

FJ everyday for me.

I have not had any Adidas for years but I had to have one size larger than normal. Footjoys for me everytime. Dryjoys tend to be a more resilliant shoe than the Aqualites so I use Aqualites in late spring to mid autumn and Dryjoys the rest of the time. The extra money gives a stronger, heavier shoe that is good in winter. They can be too warm in summer - they would be perfect for another summer like this year.

I am also a wide fit but above 11 it is difficult to get wide fit unless you have Myjoys. I tend to buy Size 15 regular to get them wide enough for me. If you are below 11 it should be easier to get a wide fit.

Very apt username!!

I've got a pair of Ecco GTX which are similar to Dryjoy so might go for Aqualites.

I have 2 pairs of each - and this looks a good summary to me!

I would add that the DJ Tours provide a more stable platform overall inc larger heel area with 4 spikes over the 2 of the AQL.

You should order the shoes to get the sizing you want eg Wide. If you are W then order it in FJ.

Can't comment on other brands as my Adidas are 30 years old and no longer used!

I have both.. AQL's are lighter and less bulky.. But tours grip better and feel a more solid platform. So same as everyone else says.. Although I have white AQL's for dry days and black tour's for wet days :D

I always found that in the past however when I bought a pair of Powerbands a few weeks back I bought my normal 9. I guess you just need to go and try some shoes on!
