Well, what can i say about our day at Footjoy, was an absolute joy and pleasure to take part and we were treated like kings by Russ and his team at Footjoy. Big thanks to Paul and the GM team and the 3 other GM forumers were gents too, and i enjoyed the 9 holes we played at St Ives GC, although the course was in pretty poor nick, add to that the strong wind and it made for a bit of a test at times.
I have to admit that going into the day i had massive reservations about the M Project shoes, i am a big fan of the Dryjoy Tour so would have always chosen them above any other offering if i was pushed to do so, however, once going through the fitting process and actually wearing them on course (9 holes currently) i would recommend them without hesitation. They are undoubtedly the comfiest shoe i have worn and that includes the Ecco Biom Hybrids I currently own. I was also surprised to learn that my current shoes were half a size too big, previously I had always chosen a size 9, medium width, but after going through the measuring process I was found to be a size 8.5 on my right and a little smaller on the left, in a wide fitting. My one reservation is how they hold up to the rigors of winter golf, I would tend to lean towards the Dryjoy Tour during these months / bad weather, but the M Project shoe do come with the same waterproof guarantee, the proof will be in the pudding.
Will post a proper review once the shoes have been tested under more difficult conditions.
