Follow up: 909D2 v 905R v G5

909 a crap club, yeah right. If you can't hit it Craw, it must be crap. Obviously Rory Mac went to Titleist and said, make me a crap driver guys, my old one is way too long and straight, and they said, boy have we got the tool for you, take this one, it's totally crap.

Yes thats right it is crap, I am entitled to an opinion and I will stick to it, unless you button the club everytime you will struggle to hit it. FACT.

No forgiveness at all. I will conceed that it is probably the nicest looking driver on the market at present but performance wise it is pathetic.

I was also told to go back to Titleist for a re-fit but I know for a fact that I would not be able to hit the club consistantly ever.

I have punted the club on ebay and only lost £40 thankfully. Maybe young Rory is good enough to button the club every time but I'm not, I would class myself as a decent golfer and also know of 4 other people all single handicappers who have also binned this club for the exact same reason.

You go and try hitting a Titleist 909 D2 thenhit a Callaway or ping, come back and tell me whats easier to hit.

I have to say what is in danger of being missed here is the cracking offer made by Titleist to offer to recheck everything. I know its all good publicity etc but they were under no real obligation to do so. It'll be interesting to see the outcome.

Titleist will do that for everyone homer, I was told to do so by my pro but I did not rate the driver or like it so it was punted.

Not an average Joe's golf club!!!

Have fancied one since they came out our pro has some demos so took one out yesterday for 9 holes what a dissapointment maybe it was the regular voodoo shaft but all i did was slice it all over the place think i'll give it a miss and get a G10 or an R9.

I have to say Titleist clubs leave me cold and have done since an early age. I don't know why except perhaps they were always aimed at better players and even when I might have fallen into that category there was always something I'd find to put me off.

I quite like messing with them at demo days and have to say they do perform well especially the drivers when you catch it but I've not got the game to do them justice.

In your opinion its not an average Joe's club. Well maybe, yes; it is aimed at the better player. But at the end of the day it either suits you or it doesn't. Clearly it doesn't suit you. But its still a club Average Joe can look at & some average Joes will like, even if some will not.

I love my Titleist 907D1 Driver, it goes where I want it to, in a flightpath I like & gives reasonable distance.

As for Crap, Titleist don't make crap clubs, they make quality clubs. You didn't like yours, end of, simples eecht...

P.S. If someone gave me one of those lovely 909D2 or D3 Drivers I'd not look the gift horse in the mouth.

Ditto that. The V2 is a definate no for me.

Craw, all golfers are not the same, which is why there is space in the market for so many different sticks. What suits one, may not suit another. It doesn't make it crap, it just isn't for you. Personally, I have never liked anything made by Ping, but I don't go around saying it is crap, it is just not for me.

Life in your world is very black and white.
