Fixing a sofa..

We have a 3-seater leather sofa … nothing wrong with it. However the ‘Dad end’ that I sit at has now taken the shape of my bottom and is sagging. I don’t want to throw a perfectly good sofa if 66% of it is still working for.

I am sure this is a story in every household. How does one deal with it

Swap sides. Move the TV, if necessary. If your coffee table is at the side rather than in front you might need to buy a left handed mug.

It’s quite common for upholsters to offer foam for this exact reason. Google is your friend.

You can get 'boards' to place under the cushions if it is the main support that has gone, and it isn't new cushions/foam you need.

I cut some slats from plywood and put them under the springs .
You need to turn the sofa upside down and remove any material to see the springs.
It worked a treat as the wood just helps the springs with the weight.

this works until the other end is the same. (he says from experience).
