Playing my first team match in 12 years today. Absolutely dreading it and looking forward to it in equal measure. Playing foursomes format. Just hope i dont let my partner down!

I played my first ever team match on sunday, represeting the club. Foursomes format as well.
Was nervous as you like, but as soon as I got the first tee shot away, it was fine. Ended up winning both rounds 2-up, so happy days!

Tough format after 12 year absence. Not for me I'm afraid. Too wild and erratic to be a good foursomes palyer and prefer the safety blanket of a partner next to me in better ball keeping his own ball in play

Thanks fellas. Well we won and progress. My partner and i were last pairing out which was tough. I actually played really well and by the turn we were 3 up. It then got better as we were 4 up with 5 to play. My partner then got wild nervous which in turn affected me and we lost the next 4. Going down the last all squarethe other team duffed there drive leaving me to scalp mine down the fairway. As my partner was waiting on the green clearing it was confirmed we'd won match so our game ended. Over the moon that the club won.

What competition was it? I don't particularly like foursomes as it can be difficult to influence the game but it does quicken it up!

Was the pierce purcell chris. Not a format ive played alot of to be honest but really enjoyed the team side of things! Really competitive.
