Mine's tomorrow, I'm so excited!

There must be a few more of you out there playing your first qualifier of the year, Saturday or Sunday, how did you get on? :)

Not playing any club medals this year, just playing opens. Easter Monday at Saunton is my first one. Love those courses....bring it on!

Not playing at all this weekend. Still dying with this man flu bug I had at Woburn and supposely going to visit mum in hospital. Good luck to everyone especially if its the first of the year or even the first ever

Played in opening day stableford today, scored 36 points which should get in the buffer.

Gave at least 4 shots away, greens still bumpy so reasonably happy start to season.

1st one tommorow- well today as its 1.05am and I'm still up its not great prep is it lol - looking forward to trying out all the swing and grip changes and new clubs, doesnt bode well does it:rofl:

First medal today, if I shoot 86-18/68 I'll be in with a chance, but I my aim is to shoot an 82/84! new swing/chipping/confidence! Fingers crossed!

Had a Shocker today, Stableford Charity Comp
My mates wanted early tee off, to be finished before Newcastle v Liverpool match kicks off
So pal books 7:28am tee..........!! Ive never played that early EVER
Anyway, its -2 ..... yes, MINUS 2 when we tee off, frosty, Icey, terrible really, and as expected, ridiculous Bounces and strange kicks galore, it was a pure lottery for 1st 7 holes or so, with the ball collecting Ice as it rolled ( or tried to roll ) on the greens.
Had a SHOCKING 12 points on front 9, and 18 points on back 9, for 30 miserable points.......:(

Theres always next wednesday........Midweek comp...;)..........cant come soon enough

Played really well but missed 3 putts under 2 foot (2 straight and 1 a nasty downhiller) but that wasn't the worst part. On the 6th I was in auto pilot and with the honour proceeded to tee off the yellows which was followed by a playing partner who only realised what we had done just before the 3rd player teed off, so that's 3 stupid putts and a daft 3 off the tee for a net level par 70:mmm:

Bring on next week!

I was very pleased to hit two good shots up our long par 5 opener but then topped my third into the pond, double bogey. On the second I had a short one for bogey but after I'd grounded my club my ball decided to take another half turn roll, penalty and double bogey. Three shots down after two holes!

Proceeded to play some good golf after that and was two up after 15 but then had a couple of mares on 16 and 17 to go one down! Finished with an 85 nett 73 one over. In my buffer but very dissapointed, 38 putts didn't help (and I felt I was putting pretty well).

We had our first two comps this weekend.. I had 36 points yesterday and a nice 68 in the medal today:) That will hopefully get me down to 10:)
