I had my very first 'proper' lesson today, with use of a trackman. My god what a difference an hour makes it was a revelation!

** Going out to all the new guys like me**

If you're new to golf, and want to know where to start...get a lesson. I just wish I had done it sooner!

iv been down the range a load and have straightened my reverse grip swing out, got a track man lesson next weds and hitting the course for the first time the week after!!

Goon on yer, I found I've been doing all manner things wrong. Looking forward to getting back down the range to practice what I've learned.

Don't over practice at the range or you'll end introducing other faults, usually through fatigue. Once you've worked on the changes and drills from the lesson for a session or two max, get on the course and play. That's where you'll learn how to use the new swing

Money well spent.

I had them more or less the month I decided I was going to play golf.
Half hour a month through the season and two hours a month from September to April now.
Keeps those shanks away!
