It will be on the first tee. Relax, take a deep breath and trust your swing. Irrespective of where it goes relax and enjoy it as that is why you are there. If you play badly, keep smiling and not being a grouch so its fun for your partners too. If you are unsure about anything, ask before you touch your ball or do anything. Treat it as a social game mentally and don't go chasing a score back if you have a few bad holes. As a pointer if you treat every hole as a par 5, what you gain on the par 3's and short 4's you can afford to give back on the longer 4's and 5's and so it takes a huge amount of pressure off

Sure you'll be fine, David. Play your own game - don't be seduced into trying to hit the ball longer than you normally would if you've got a big-hitter in the group and don't take on shots that you can't play. Relax, enjoy it and what will be, will be.

Yep, as everyone else has said, relax and enjoy!
Don't put pressure on yourself. As you said, this is all part of getting your handicap and there will be lots of good rounds and bad rounds over your golfing career. Enjoy the good rounds, don't worry about the bad rounds.
When you are on the 1st tee tomorrow just try to relax and rather than think of this as your first ever competitive round look on it as the next of many 100's to come.

As Homer said, treat every hole as a Par 5. One shot off the tee, second shot short of the trouble around the greens, chip on and two putts for a five. Any shots you pick up on Par 3's etc are a bonus.

I'll be giving both that (each hole par 5) or the extra shot per hole (18 bogeys) to see which feels better on the course!!!
