we don't know what split_fairway plays off, what he scored for the other 9 holes, what his best score is and wether he's been playing long.

i blame homer for starting it all!

Guessing game time... I think he plays off a 9 handicap and it is a very good run of holes for him

Perhaps he's just joined the club and it's only the second time he's played it and the front 9 is really easy.

Although I guess at +4 he wouldn't be rushing to a forum to give us that news so I may have to grant you a partial pedantic win on this one.

That is an interesting guess. I never managed a level par 9 holes off more than 10.
Last time I did it (a while back) I was off 10 (i.i.r.c.) and had 9 bogeys followed by 9 pars.

brilliant stuff m8! i remember my 1st time too. shot 45 on front nine,head was down, handicap done almost, then shot 36(par) on back nine,to scrape into the buffer zone! its a funny old game!
