I posted recently that I was playing my first comp this year, and I did okay.

I scored 29 points and came 12th. The winner was on 36 points.

Weather was atrocious – heavy wind and drizzle for about 4 hours!

Thanks for all the advice from the Forum members.

Now looking forward to the next comp with positive attitude rather than worrying about it.

well done mate ,shame about the weather .
30 plus points for your next game
which club are you at?

I certainly left at least 3-5 points out there with blobbed holes, duffed chips and missed putts, so I'll try and shoot around the 27-30 mark. breaking 30 on a regular basis is def target for this year.

I'm at East Sussex National. You?

nothing so posh as east sussex nat,im at boars head in crowborough ,
which course were you playing your comp on .east or west?

I only joined East Sussex National as they offered more options for me as I'm on one of those limited membership schemes. they seemed to have more competitions for me to enter.

I was on the East course this weekend.

Good steady start. Well done and don't worry about the ones you left out there. That happens no matter how well you score. Always at least one you want again. Keep it going. I always feel that anywhere from 30 and above that it hasn't been a total disaster
