first comp on Sunday

Good luck mate, just enjoy it. I was nervous as hell on my first comp and came 16th in div 3. It's all good fun apparentley. :D

Cheers

Midnight...

The main thing is to enjoy it. I love the comps now. teh more tense and pressure I love it. My game doesnt improve but I love the experience of medals...

As already stated, swing as smooth as possible, its not how far you hit it, but where you hit it...

Don't panic. It's suppose to be fun. Play within yourself, don't take on glroy shots and if you get into trouble get out the shortest route possible. As its a medal if you have any doubt about finding a ball, stick a provisional into play. Relax and enjoy it. Everyone gets nervous on the first tee so pick your spot, trust your swing and hit it as you would do with your mates. If you have any doubts about a ruling, don't touch the ball or do anything until you've consulted with your partners.

Other than that, have fun, shoot low and tell us how it went

well it's all over thank god.

after a fairly steady start despite the nerves, it turned into utter carnage. finally ended up with an nr on my worst round ever.

on the plus side of things, yesterdays short game and putting practice, saved the utter shambles.

off to see lord strong of bow for the rest of the evening lol.

hope everyone's day went ok
