Finishing time of British Open?

The last round itself usually finishes around 6 and it depends on whether there is a winner or a play off. Is it imperative you travel back on Sunday? I'd have thought a cheap B&B even in Preston itself and come back first thing Monday would be a better option. You can stay and watch all the action without looking at the clock all the time

damn! I suspected I was wrong.................I don't have a time machine....Busted!

So's mine. I'm not sure which way the dial was pointing when I arrived in UK that year (1989). (Retail) Banking system certainly seemed backward; cars/roads forward and quite a few things a bit (or even lota!) of both!
