After having my new irons sitting in the garage for 6 days and looking shiny i finally got out on the course to hit them. The G.F has not been well so have been looking after her and the wee one for 10 days itching to go to the course.

Went to my usual course for winter golf as my own gets very water logged, pro let me on for free as it was him that sold me the clubs so he was needing to see how i got as well.

After reading a post about the FTi i asked if he had any demo's, he had 3 but the only one he had left was a stiff flex 9.5, so i thought i would take it anyway, ha big mistake should have left it there. It took me 5 holes to realise to keep it in the bag.

But after all the bad drives i got round in 83, the new clubs are excellent i am taking a lot more divots than i used to i presume that is because of the 1/2" extra length??

i put a couple of tees down either side of the ball to see when the divots were being created and it looks like it is about an inch after the ball has been struck, which it should be i think??

all in all happy enough, the pro has a 11* reg flex i might take out next time for a hit.

Sounds like you really suit your clubs,

Thank god I went out today after yesterday's shambles. Ended up winning the junior comp (texas scramble), with my team getting a score of -7. Also ended up single handedly birdieing the 9th
