A couple of years ago i said i wanted to get to single figures by i'm 40, well i was 40 on tuesday and was sat at 9.7 the lowest i got was 9.5 , when i started i was of 13 so a bit of a tall order i thought.
Played last night in the wednesday sweep and shot 80-10 for nett 70 the css was 72 so a cut of 0.4 to get me to 9.3 ,am a bit shocked wasnt' paying a lot of attention to my score as i started with 2 double bogeys and 3 bogeys in the first 5 holes i wasnt until the 17th that my mate said 1 needed two fours for 80 i then birdied 17th then missed a two footer for par on 18 which bugged me for the rest of night.
But anyway the hard work starts now to keep playing of single figures, happy days. :)

You little ripper!

I hate it when your in that zone and your partner suddenly announces "your playing well, 2 pars will be XX"

I always know my score myself but it still bugs the life out of me in a medal, it really shouldnt but it does. I always feel as though its a ploy to unsettle you, then again I believe in the X files.

Well played steve.

Well done Steve. It is an excellent feeling, eventually getting there isn't it?
Make sure you keep going!
I managed to shoot a 72 - 12 = 60 in a medal (a poor chap shot a net 61 of 18 and lost), and got cut to 8.0, followed by a 77 - 8 = 69 which got me to 7.6 (my lowest). However since then it has all gone a bit wrong, and I know play for a bit more fun off 12.6.

Well done Steve. That's good golf.

Single figures is still my target before I'm 65 :). Trouble is, I'm rapidly running out of time so I might have to revise my target to getting there before I'm 70 :o :o
