I'm a newbie golfer, and after several frustrating weeks at the driving range where I was failing to hit the ball straight and forwards more often than not, it feels like things are finally coming together!

Today something just clicked, and I hit almost everything well, by which I just mean making a nice clean contact with the ball, and having it go forwards and up in the air :D (small steps!)

Going to have a few lessons soon now that I've got myself off the ground so to speak, and looking forward to then getting out and playing some golf!

Not very interesting I know, but it's nice when things all come together! For weeks I've just been working on little bits and pieces, teaching myself to make my posture, balance, grip better etc. by watching lots of videos, reading lots of material etc. and it feels like it's finally paying off!

I went out in 19 points today or +4 gross. Back in 15 but enough good stuff in there to be pleased. Putter stone cold which was also encouraging and could have been really good but missed five of six from five feet or less. Drove better so I'm happy. Loads of big scores in the roll up so nowhere near the cash but left in a positive mood for the club match away at Caversham Heath tomorrow
