After reading how short I hit the ball I was overjoyed to hit a drive 316 yards tonight, alright it was down wind but it was up hill! Hit the centre of our 11th green in one. It's a great feeling - if only I could do it again. Only got a birdie though .

Then it doesn't count.

To be classed as a GM forum long driver then you must hit a 300+yard drive up hill into a (minimum) 40 mph wind.

Anything else is, well, gay.........

Bl**dy hell, mate. That's a cracking strike. I can vouch for it being uphill, and quite a bit uphill too. Having said that, I've not played it with wind behind, or else I reckon I'd have been taking 5 wood.

Both times I've played Morecambe, I've apparently brought freak conditions with me, and changed the wind direction in a bad way.
