Films

We watched Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning last night.
Maybe it's just need but I was singularly underwhelmed by this film.
Over the top story, to many holes in the plot, excessively long stunt scenes which I finished up laughing out loud at.
And Tom Cruise should enter the 200, 400, 800 and 1500 metre events at the Olympics as the speed he can run over long distances is unbelievable!

His running style is weirdly unique. He didn’t run like Usain Bolt, he doesn’t run like Mo Farah. Must be a movie technique than conveys fast. Like movie boxing or movie driving.

I enjoys the movies, not sure if they are done or not. The end feels like a recasting for a sequel

I was mainly disappointed that Tom is looking a little puffy-faced and his hair was awful.

He certainly uses his arms when he runs fast :-)

Not just me then thought it was a pitiful film made just to showcase stunts. The only bonus throughout the whole film was Hayley Atwell 😍

What I am not clear about is where does this Gabriel actually fit in the story line. And there was a reference to Hunt’s wife and the beginning which I didn’t quite get. Are they related?

There was a lot shoe horned in to try and tie all of the films in the series together to make it play out like one big story line from start to finish which frankly just didn’t work.

The ‘syndicate’ was their version of ‘spectre’ but retrofitted?

We got a view baddies in multiple movies, Solomon Lane, the Weapon Dealer Lady (widow?), but also a lot of single movie bad guys like the Philip SH character.
With Gabriel being so prominent the last 2 I didn’t actually miss anything before about him? The shot they had about him in the past was ‘new’?

To pass an afternoon whilst the Mrs was wrapping pressies I just watched “The Jingle Bell Heist” on Netflix… it’s just about ok. Biggest gripe…it’s set in London but everyone keeps saying “Happy Holidays” 🙄

The latest Knives Out film. Enjoyed it. It's more serious than the others and like most films, it's too long. Well worth watching though.

Impressive from the lead guy, not Daniel Craig. From a role in The Durrells, this is a major breakthrough (I know he's done other things but this is a big one). He was very good in this 👍
