Have you ever seen or been involved in a fight on the golf course?
The reason I ask is that I was on the practice area today happily hitting balls when an out of control Collie dog came running out of nowhere onto the practice area. Collie dugs being collie dugs run about stupid, spin about and run and run. Anyway to cut a long story boring I managed to drop a full toss 8 iron right onto the dogs head just as the owner appeared. The stupid creature gave a yelp and ran off at which point I was subjected to a tirade of abuse.
I started towards the idiot who was abusing me as I was concerned about the stupid mut (I love dogs) when he decided to run at me telling me he was going to "F"ing kill me. At this point I decided to stand my ground and clutched my trusty 8 iron a little tighter.
A bit of a stand off ensued where words were exchanged as I tried to explain that he should have his dog under control on the practice area and that I didn't mean to skull his dog. Some people just don't really understand the dangers of a golf ball.
I was quite shaken after that and decided to call it a day 40 balls into my session and I even managed to resist the temptation to drill a 3 wood at knee hight after the moron. Hope the Collie dug is ok and doesn't have too big an egg or headache!
