Apropos nothing very much at all - other than reflecting on politicians throwing figures about left, right and centre - to prove their point. I hadn't come across this before but it's neat.

If 100 is A; and 125 is Z what does Hitler add up to?

You see - that's PROOF!

Or not - just because we think the number 100 is somehow special doesn't mean to say it is - in fact it's just another number. there is no reason to start our alphabet mapping at 100 - we could just as easy started on 99 or 101 and it would have been meaningless. However demonstrates the marvellous human trait of twisting numbers to suit our own purposes and arguments.

I see where you're coming from, but, it appears that the 'number of the beast' is actually 616!
But yeah, it is kind of spooky though.

Wasn't there something about the 9/11 attacks where you converted certain words into wingdings font and it represented planes flying into buildings......or something like that??
 
I think the world has an overabundance of conspiracy theorists! Is that just another conspiracy theory?! :rolleyes:

Oh and 'Lies, damned lies and Statistics' is what Politicians quoting numbers is all about!
 
It seems to me that most politicians neither understand mathematics and how to use statistics, nor science, particularly that correlation does not equal causation.
 
Chart two graphs between 1940 and 1950 in the UK and you will see that from 1946-50 the birth rate rises steeply on the back of rising banana imports. Proving beyond all doubt that eating more bananas is a valuable aid to fertility.

Maybe it wasn't the eating of bananas that caused the increase - it was the peeling of them ;)
 
99% of all statistics are made up! Usually by Big Business, politicians or pressure groups who want to prove something for their own interests!

Most statistics used in business are supported.

Whether or not they accurately show what you assume they show, is another thing.

One of the planes that hit the trade centre towers was flight number : Q33NY

1) Open a new Word document and type in capital letters Q33NY

2) highlight it

3) enlarge the font to 48

4) click on Font Style and select “Wingdings”
