Farnham GC Pro/AM April 18th April?

Had a phone call from my teaching pro last night asking if i would like to be he's partner in a pro/am event at farnham in april. its an event where each pro takes a student or mate with a HC, and you play as pairs against other pros & thir partners from the surrounding area's.

Has anyone else ever played in this or been invited... it sounds a good event.

nope, but that sounds great and i would feel warm and fuzzy if i got invited by my pro! he must think with you he can win!

i think a big thing is we get on well too, so he knows even if the golf is shocking, we will have a laugh.

It was quite a honour to be asked to play.... warm and fuzzy...... not after wednesday.

I was a member there for years OS, and played in the usual Pro Am a number of times. Hadn't heard of this invitational one though. Sounds good, just a shame they chopped so many trees down on the course.

Strange couse, clubhouse side of the road is parkland, and you don't want to go right, especially 16,17,18. When you cross the road to play 5 it becomes heathland and quite a bit of heather. Trees have been removed on 7,8,9 and these three tight holes are very close together. Best holes are 9,11 and 12.

Greens have a few tiers but are generally small and flat. Accuracy rather than length required.

Say hello to Graham, who was the Pro for years and is now the Manager. Really nice bloke.
