Fantastic timing of form?

Started solidly, 2 over after 5 holes, striking it well, and could easily have been level.

Curfuffle on the 6th tee, with the group two ahead losing a ball, not calling through, being shouted at by those behind, and ended up with 3 groups on the tee of a 230 yard par 3. They did call down eventually, but then found it, and carried on, leaving those they had called down standing about doing nothing. This group then couldnt putt out, as the 7th tee hits over the 6th green.
We got called down, which was daft as no one would have anywhere to go.

I couldn't see the point, but the other two wanted to, as they thought it would speed things up? How?

Messed up the tee shot, scored a 6, and just lost interest. Finished with an 88, so back to 9.5.

Stupidly windy though. I'm not a big hitter, as you know but on the ninth, a 135 yard par 3, I hit a 7i and didn't make it. Probably hit it less than 100 yards!

On the plus side, I drove the ball quite tidily, and think I know where my issues with the driver have come from.

First medal of the year for me on Saturday too, 112 entered which is very good for us. Probably because its a 2 round medal and then 16 scratch and 16 handicap qualifier for matchplay affair.
Been playing pretty solid in the last few weeks of the winter league and managed to shoot 78-8-70 on Saturday (par 72, CSS 73) nice little .8 cut (started triple bogey, double bogey). Handicap now 6.7, my lowest ever, and only another .3 to go to achieve the season target. Managed to win my division sweeper as well. All in all, not a bad start to the season.
