Nick Faldo's live comments about the state of Tiger's game yesterday went...

"I think we can officially say that Tiger has lost his game - and his mind right now.
He has not got a clue how to get the clubface onto the ball."

Quite admire Faldo for telling it like it is, can't imagine any US commentator speaking of the 'great one' so honestly however the language seems overly strong........ imo despite not playing well I still think Tiger knows what to do, he just can't do it at the moment.

I do quite like both of them but I'm not sure they like eachother.

Any thoughts?

My thoughts are its the usual verbal diarrhea from Faldo. Woods quite clearly showed last week that he's almost back.

Attention grabbing pish from Sir Sandwich List.

On Sky last night Monty said that he had never seen Tiger hit a ball so bad and not being able to figure out what had gone wrong. He then said that everyone including himself thought that Tiger was back , but at the moment he appears to be a work in progress.

Even the interview with Tiger after finishing the round , you could see that he could not figure out what was going wrong. I also thought it was quite brave/good of him to give a interview as soon as he had finished playing a round like that.

Ref Faldo, I think he could of put it better.

Faldo showed his attention seeking ways when he came out and said that he was disappointed that none of the English golfers had asked for his help for Augusta. He seems to think that he is supremely important to the game when in truth he isn't

I am of the opinion it is a confidence thing,if he had come out on Thursday and hit it like he did at Bay Hill he would be right in it but as it is his old swing turned up on tee number 1 on Thursday and he is struggling.

Easy to do it on the range but it is a totally different thing under the gun,he is no different to you or I,how many time do we have an issue that we correct on the range, next day go out with a pencil in hand and it goes back to type.

Faldo is a tit.It is testament to Tiger that he is 'only' 3 over, many would be plus 8 hitting it like he has.Can he shoot 66 today?Doubtful for me but he certainly hasn't 'lost his game or his mind'.

It's Faldo's opinion. He's entitled to it.
Whether anyone think he's right or wrong doesn't matter.
Faldo's forgotton more about Golf than I'll ever know and is so much more of an expert than anyone on here.....

Showed 2 or 3 weeks ago that he is perfectly capable.

Think it says a lot about Tiger that he managed to shoot 75 yesterday playing so badly. Almost every part of his game wasn't right. Certain others would have shot in the 80's under such circumstances.

Faldo has a bad bad case of verbal diorrhaea (sp?)

Faldo can't be getting listened to much these days, he's clearly not a woods fan and has previous for speaking out about him, prior to the 2006 open IIRC

Funny how everybody and their mate can have an opinion on Tiger... But Sir Nick can't ...

Tiger looked totally lost with his game last night... Don't have any issues with his petulance... Shows [to a point] that he cares... What worried me was it didn't look like he cared when he played his bunker shot at the 16th [it was almost a hit and hope effort] which is something I've not witnessed before with Tiger...

The problem with Faldo is not his opinion it's his tone and manner, he has a know it alll greater than the rest way of saying things and criticising

As a commentator he is paid to give his opinion, wether people like it or not doesn't matter I guess, he is doing what he gets paid to do. To an extent his golfing achievements are better than most, 6 majors, which I think is more than any other European has achieved so for.
I agree with him that for that moment tiger had lost it, will he regain his 'loss', coursr he will, he's a great player. Like him or not, faldo does know a good bit about the game and its ups and downs.

I think that Faldo is a legend and entitled to his opinion like everybody else and if you don't like the way he says things then that is just the way the man is.
