I'm in the market for a fairway wood, I like tje look of the 910f as I have the 910 d2 and love it but am getting a bit confused with what I am hearing/reading! I have checked out a few reviews etc. online and most say that the 910f are geared towards better players as they have a lower ball flight?
I saw one review/comparison between the 910f and the mizuno jpx800(i think?) and it was saying that the mizuno would suit higher hcs much better as it gives a higher ball flight.
My problem however is that my ball flight is too high!!
So I guess I am asking if there is a fairway wood that is fairly easy to hit off the deck but not design for high launch?
I will try a few but allways like to hear the thoughts of you guys.

Jeez, you don't ask much. :)

I reckon - Choose the club for your style not your h'cap. You might hit the ball far better than me (most do) so you might not get the best out of the gear I use.

Im a 23 handicapper and I have a 910F and really get on with it, it is important to get the right shaft for your swing, so get some fitting advice from the pro.

They are adjustible so you can tweak the various bits to make it your own.

Used to have a Ping G15 3 wood that I never got on with, but like the G15 5 wood, so work that one out.

Best advise is to try out various different ones until you find one that clicks

I agree with that tbh. I may be a high hcapper but I can hit a fairway wood well generally. I'm shite round the greens hence the high hc!!!!
Its just a bit confusing for an "over-thinker" like myself sometimes when hearing/seeing that certain clubs aren't for me!
Anyone else in the same boat?

I got fitted up for my 910 driver, do you think I should get fitted up again or get the same shaft?
Also, how do you get on with it off the tee?

I have the same shaft in both my 910D2 Driver and the 3 wood, I hit it better off the deck than off the tee, but you need to make your own mind up, so try some out.

I have the shaft details on my signature below

take absolutely no notice of all the 'this club is suited for' garbage. at best it's a guide, at worst complete spheroids.

the only way to tell is to hit it, and with the right shaft there's little that's not in the mix.

Cheers for your thoughts chaps.
I will get out and try a few although I do like the adjustable clubs as I can alter them as my swing improves so I see them as a more long-term club.
It can be quite disheartening though to hear "this club is too good for you" type reviews!!
Quite surprising that manufacturers dont try and stop these things being saud as potentially it could lose them sales?!

Trying them is the only way. I nail my 910 nearly every time but just can't get on with the fairway woods for some reason. Bought a ping g10 4 wood the other day which fits me very well.

I think the 910F is easier to hit than is made out by the reviews.
The 910Fd, however, is one club that I just don't get on with.

Try plenty, as has been suggested, and go with the one that works - regardless of what it is.

Another club that I hit well during fitting but would get more consistent resulfs on vourse with a lump of 4x2...

Imurg did mention that he would have a little surprise to show us this week, wonder if it might be a replacement 3 wood?, But then again, he was gagging for a set of AP2 irons while at Wentworth.
