Excuses..

I played with a particularly angry guy a few times.
He once blamed his wife for annoying him that morning at breakfast - we tee'd off at 2pm however.

My playing partner is usually like that, although his wife could annoy him 3 days before and he'd still be annoyed lol

We have a guy at our place that if not playing well over the opening holes, comes out with every ailment going, however he then goes very quiet once his game starts improving. The same chap has started a habit of walking off after 9 if his game does not pick up (which he has done on a number of occasions), which unless injured or ill, there is no excuse for in my book.

I don't usually use this brand of ball and I don't have any (insert applicable brand) in my bag.

It is always the balls fault in my opinion.

Got a invite to play at Farnbrough last year on the day of the air show with my brother (Golfmmad ) and boy was it loud, fantastic day seeing all planes.

One of my other brothers also played and didn't enjoy the day he was always complaint about the noise putting him off his game, towards the end of the round when he was in a bunker I told him the the European air bus is just coming over again he said " fxxx the Airbus im not playing here again.

Must say that did amuse me:D

If I dont get the blessing from the other half to go out for a round I usually play rubbish. Not sure if its a guilt thing but its happened too often to be a coincidence, maybe its a curse instead:D

Playing our 178 yard par 3 13th the other week. There was an Egyptian goose waddling across the tee box. I thought it was far enough down and out of the way not to be an issue. Got to the top of my back swing and caught it moving in the corner of my eye. Cue a big slice right into a hazard
