The first person to refuse the Everton managers job will have their dole stopped :)

If Martinez gets the job Evertonians had better hope that their team are already competent at defending as Martinez has been at Wigan for some time now and has not improved that team's defensive capabilities one jot!

I think Owen Coyle is the more likely but Steve Clarke or Laudrup but would be even better if they could get them IMO.

I think Everton will have a few takers for this job. Great club to get a chnace to manage and a good chairman too.

If they want to continue in the same mould they have now, I'd opt for Owen Coyle.

If they fancy a bit more 'football', then Martinez.

If they want a mixture of both, I wouldn't be suprised if Mr Kenwright made an 'off the record' phone call to Harry Rednapp to gauge his interest.

Lennon is now odds on favourite with the bookies. If he goes then a very poor choice indeed, dont think he is that good as a manager and a real vile horrible individual to boot.

What is with Owen Coyle being mentioned. A man that gets Bolton relegated

People are quick to knock Lennon without knowing too much about his ability as a coach, he is a decent coach and I believe he'd do a good job at Everton HOWEVER I hope he stays put.

Couldnt have worded it better about Lennon "real vile horrible indivudual"

Take Pardew off us if you want.

I am not an Everton fan matey just like them as a football club and think they deserve a better front man than him. What's going on up in Geordie land did not think you would be down where you are thought you overachieved last season but relegation(possibly) never saw that coming.

Can't help but wonder how many of those that refer to Neill Lennon as a "vile, horrible individual" have ever met him to enable them to form such an opinion.

I now await replies along the lines of "My mate's girlfriend's father works with a bloke who............."

Never met and hopefully never will. Seen enough of him on the TV and listened to countless interviews with him to form an opinion. Also google him plenty of stuff on there about what a nasty individual he is. No wonder Shearer kicked him when at Leics.
