Ever been hit ?

1977 - middle of the back from a shank by a PP.
1985 - twice in two weeks. The first one got me an overnight stay in hospital. My ball rebounding off a rock. The second one was a tee shot, one bounce and hit me in the nuts.
2013 - a hooked tee shot mashed my cheek against my teeth - air ambulance.... and like the OP, at Cleveland.
 
I got hit on the side of my head just above the temple by a well hit 6 iron, on the fly. No warning, just a masdive great bong noise and next thing i know i am on the floor. Couldnt even swear at him, as he was a vicar, and that sort of thing is not done.

I have hit a guy on an adjacent fairway, right between the shoulder blades. I shouted, he ran, and it tracked him like a sidewinder.

I hit a golf ball into someones carry bag at Ealing too. He didnt even notice, and was quite aresey about turning his bag out so i could retrieve it.

I also hit a guy to the left of our 6th. Par 3, woods down the left. He was deep in the woods, on private property, dressed head to toe in camo. How was i to know he was in there? He was livid.
 
When I was at school, a mate of mine hit me on the head as I was standing on the tee (in the HNSP ;) ) watching him tee off. He got right under the ball with a 3w, ball shot off at a right angle and hit me on the side of the head as I had turned to the right to look down the fairway. Lucky it wasn't going at any speed, as it was such a bad shot.

I also managed to hit someone once. Was playing with my then girlfriend's younger brother, who was a beginner, and showing him how to play a bunker shot. I bladed it into the railways sleepers around the bunker and it rebounded into his face. Luckily he was wearing glasses, so there was no damage done to him, only to his glasses.

I learned a valuable lesson there - I'm not good enough to be giving anyone lessons.
 
After postìng a list earlier I forgot a golf trip to Barcelona. We flew over and on arrival at the course we marched on to the 1st tee without even booking in, I teed up and wacked my ball, 2 others did the same and I was standing square with player 4 when he hit his drive off the toe end of the driver and it smashed me in the ankle, it was sore for a couple of weeks

MashleyR7 on here did a similar shot, narrowly missed me and shattered the wheel on my Gokart
 
On the back of my hand while it rested on top of the clubs in my carry bag, very lucky not to break any bones but couldn't complete the round, on the arse after a snap hook out of rough by PP, thankfully a bounce took most of the sting out of it.

Friend of mine was caught full in the mouth last season (no shout) lost a couple of teeth and had over 100 stitches, improved his looks tho' :D
 
When i was about 18yr old. We used to go to wood house golf course a nine hole dump still there. My next door neighbour put his ball in some trees thirty yard from the tee. he ran to fetch it sayin he knew where it was. The three other guys told him to wait. He didnt. Next guy tees it up and smashed it into the trees. Shouted fore. Joe looked around and it smashed him straight between the eyes. He hit the deck. He walked back to the bar passed us ( next foreball ). The lump in his head and face was massive. He did not look happy. We finished our nine holes and met him in the bar. He looked like a cross between john merrick and kung fu panda. His face was a meas with the bruising coming out. He had two weeks off work and never went outta the house. He was a good looking lad and did not want the birds seeing him looking like that. He lived next door to me and i went to see him every day. It got a lot worse before it got better
 
Meyrick Park, 5th hole. PP had hooked his ball into the trees, as we walked out the trees, the guys behind had tee'd off thinking the hole was clear. Frantic shout but I couldn't react in time and got smacked full tilt right on my elbow. Thought it was broken! Guy wasn't to blame, just an unfortunate incident.

Not me, but my wife. Copped a mis-hit ball in her calf about 10m from the tee. The bruise took eight weeks to subside and a year later she still has a hard patch where it hit.

Guess which idiot was swinging the club :o

She did finish the round though.

Mine was the reverse of yours, only been hit once, by the wife!!!

Was sat in the buggy in Portugal at the time, hell of a bruise for a while
 
The 9th hole at Almerimar in Spain.
I played my 2nd straight onto some trees & went to look for it, found it and was standing by it when I heard a shout of fore!
I turned round just in time to see my mate waving his 5 wood in the air just as the ball hit me on the inside of my left thigh .................... and I was wearing shorts!
It actually put me on the floor and the bruising over the next few days was epic.
Ouch!!!
 
yes,been hit twice,once by a wayward shot off another fairway bounced just infront of me and hit me in the groin and the second occasion a thinned shot by my pp who i had walked ahead of as i turned to watch him play his ball hit me just below my left eye,went down like id been shot still with bag on my back,very little blood but swelling almost instantainiously,got up finished the round with three birdies tho
 
Walking off then 9th green at Swanston about 20 years ago I got hit in the backside by a badly heeled-driver travelling full pelt about 3 ft off the deck from the 10th tee 30 yards away.

Luckily it hit me full on the wallet in my back pocket and I escaped shaken but not damaged. Would have really stung as it was motoring!
 
been hit twice 1st from a pp club my fault. he was holding his pose after a great tee shot i went to tee my ball up and he caught me on my shoulder. 2nd was very lucky got hit full on the ear so close to my temple. my ear went massive within seconds had a ringing in my ear for rest off the round and no shout bloke only realized he had hit me when he saw me lying next to his ball and a really red ear not nice. a fellow pp who had anger issues went to throw a club after going OB but let go of the club a little late and it hit the other guy in our 3 ball around the legs he wasn't happy. i had to walk away as i couldn't stop laughing
 
Twice by the same player, first with his first shot and then with his provisional! He was consistent!
Also by my own ball, full on 4 wood into the tree just off to my right straight back into my inner thigh...lucky I'm not shorter!

I have before which is why I get so angry when people either don't shout, or hit through players in front. If that all connect with you're head there's a good chance it will kill you.
