Event Formats (Society days etc)

What event formats* are popular in your golfing groups and societies and which ones do you like and dislike?

My personal favourite is a Tri-Am: 3 players per team, full hcap allowance, best net score at each hole counts.

Least favourite: I would previously have said Texas scramble but I played my first one for 2 years last weekend and it was GREAT ! So, I now don't have a least favourite.

* By "event format", I mean things like singles, pairs, tri-ams, texas scrambles etc.

The scramble is always good fun.

If we are playing 27 holes we will play a team event say 333 in the morning and a single stabaleford in the afternoon.

I quite like the pressure of 'yellow ball'.

Scrambles take too long (Florida or Texas).
