eSIM for an iPhone for Japan

I’ve been to Japan about 30 times, on business and refereeing. Yes, it is a mono culture, but we shouldn’t be using our culture to judge theirs. The country is incredibly safe and clean, the people are very respectful of each other. Transportation is fantastic- everything is on time. And the golf experience is also wonderful. I played at a golf club near Mount Fuji (Fuji-san). In the hot bath after the round, we could see Fuji out the very large window. PS
Customer Service is beyond belief.

Well I am back and wow wow wow. First and foremost, many thanks to rudeboy for suggesting Airalo. It was fantastic.
Japan itself. it just blew us away. The people we met are just so sincere. It was astonishing. First night in Tokyo. The waiter refused to take a tip. Missis T had a minutes to me to you competition with the waiter and the change. My daughter bought me 18 x 110g bars of cadburys fruit and nut.We gave them out as gifts as they would not accept tips. They absolutely loved them.
I got 2 x wreaths to lay at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The guy at Hiroshima was overwhelmed when I laid the wreath. The one for Nagasaki. We ended up laying that at Busan. It has the only UN cemetery in the world. Our president served in Korea and some of his pals are forever there. It rained whilst we were in Busan. Sweet Mary mother and the wee donkey. God how it rained.
Me and Missis T have said we will go back at some point but we will do it ourselves. Going out there we were sat on the wrong side of the plane to see Mount Fuji.so on our return I told Missis. Which side to sit on. It didnt matter, we came back over the pacific, Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Iceland.😂
Also, British airways are rammel. And Cunard are over priced 👍

It pays to do your homework, tipping is considered rude in Japan. Without doubt the most polite and respectful place I have ever been.

It’s odd and it is a slowly changing society. One thing we were told several times is that Japan is struggling for workers and some young Japanese adults just won’t work. They live with there parents are financed by there parents and may occasionally do a 2/3 day job for cash in hand if they want a new phone etc. in return they “ look after” there aging parents. Japan is now having quite a few foreign workers coming into Japan and the government is turning a blind eye. Some of these Chinese, Filipinos, Indians and Pakistanis will gladly accept tips or gifts.
Missis T had done quite a bit of research before going out and had read about tipping. She also read about “ love hotels”, which was eye opening as we stayed in shinjuku city which incorporates Kabukicho. It is a red light district and full of love hotels.
One thing that made me smile. January 1st. It Is a time where some young lovers book a hotel room and spend intimate time together for the first time. As you say it is the most polite and respectful place to go to.
