England footballers trying to play golf

It's the fourth hole at The Grove, but not off the back tee. Proper hole off the blacks.

Considering how much time and money these guys could put into golf there are no great swings there.

Not much of a dress code at the Grove is there?

I forgot the original question, but I think it was which one of these overpaid, over-rated, under-performing young men has the best swing.

Milner's was quite tidy. They should all have plenty of time to improve their swings later this summer, between gettign knocked out in the group phase and the start of the domestic season.

I don't think there is a dress code at the grove. If you can afford to play, you can play. I think you have to keep your shirt on, but that is about it really.

I thik Phil Jones should definitely NOT think of turning pro - at football that is!

Ha ha ha - love it! My moment of 2012 was him next to Fergie when the news came in City had scored. He resembles the village idiot on a good day but the jaw-dropping news had a hilarious effect!

i wonder how many courses said no, when asked if they could bring 25 people in football tops, track suit bottoms or football shots, tattoos and a reputation for appalling behaviour

Wonder how many of our own courses would allow a boys weekend out type event like that ...

I bet they were gallivanting about as well

The team stay at the Grove and so I'm sure they really don't care about the way the look on the course. All good publicity for the Grove even though it probably doesn't need it. It's a bit of relaxation for the team and a bit different to you and I doing it with some mates

my tongue is firmly in my cheek

But it does make for a nice comparison, that dress code doesnt matter in golf if you are rich

i've been saying for years that it's teh opposite, that dress codes are there to filter out the oiks yet the things we ban are what teh rich people wear

Personally i had no probs with what they are wearing - all looks very sensible for a game of golf.
