Energy Renewals

£250 pm but will reduce shortly as have built up a good credit balance.

Remember we've got the end of the government help and an energy price rise scheduled for April. I'm paying £300pm and it looks like with the rises coming up that'll have to be increased in order to build up credit for the next winter.

We are 'only' paying £200/month and despite best efforts to keep an eye things the fact that we have had builders using our electricity and often have had the heating trying to warm up a freezing cold house, we are quite significantly in 'debt' to the power company. We will review our monthly payment when we know whats happening post the next change and when we have a better idea of our own ongoing usage costs.

All factored in subject to the exact price rise.

I would buy the lot 😁

I'm on the standard variable rate, have only been in the house for just over 3 weeks, but our monthly price set at £239 based on previous owner use (family of 5). Our previous house was a 3 bed detached built 1992, which was pretty cool and took a fair bit to heat, but was paying £150 a month. New house is a 4 bed detached built 2009 and seems a hell of a lot more efficient in energy conservation. The heating switches itself off frequently as the room temp has exceeded the Hive setting, something the old house rarely did. On the electric front, the solar panels on the roof definitely seem to be a bonus. I'm working from home full time, computer on all day, only use washer and dishwasher in daytime, costing me just about £2 a day in total.

Thought I would resurrect this thread rather than opening a new one.
My current tariff with British Gas is due to run out next month and I've been looking at comparison websites and it's thrown up a company call Outfox which has a better fixed tariff for 18 months, saving me about £15 a month. But bnefore I push the button, I wanted to check if anyone else had any dealings with them, and what they thought.
Is there anyone who can advise?
Thanks.

No personal experience but I always find Trustpilot a fairly good guide and it looks like Outfox come across pretty well....

Having done my switching back in July I could only find a couple of companies that would do gas only. Sadly never found that one so went with BG whose rates were good at the time.
