Electric trolleys - Again

I was being ironic, but I'm no good at that!

You have mellowed so much recently :D

When someone invents an electric club, that will be the time to moan. Hopefully we are getting a Stannah Stairlift fitted for the stairs up to the 7th tee on my course, or a cafe half way up, or a chauffeur driven buggy up the hill to the tee. :D

Not sure the OP can be serious. So what if a 20 something has one, a junior has one or the whole of the England Amateur team has them. If you want an electric trolley, can afford to get one the what the heck. It still doesn't get the ball in the hole. It doea however make the journey a little more comfortable and makes carrying wet weather gear (plus towels, gloves etc) when it rains easier instead of feeling like a sherpa all the way round. In very hot weather it definitely makes you less tired and its easier to carry more fluid in a trolly.

If you have an issue with electric trolleys don't get one. No one will lose any sleep one way or another

That sounds like my dad talking in the fifties when pull trollies came into common use.
Maybe in 40 year's time someone will post about twenty year old golfers playing with a personal buggy.

Nah it'll be about the new hover bag.

if you can walk, walk it speeds the game up, 53 years old and still walking with bag. used to be 3.5 hours years ago now its 4 plus and thats down to trolleys. to much time wasting. dont get me wrong in the rain trolley good but thats all.

Go and play 36 around Camberley Heath, Hindhead or Tyrrells Wood

Rubbish, there is no need for it to be any slower using a trolley.

It's wrong that people spend money on electric trolleys when they should spend it on lessons.
eh ? someone has (generalising here ok) bad back / knee .. or just unfit or pushing on a bit .. & they need something to make their round a bit more ENJOYABLE & easier on the body .. i know they should get a lesson ... Thatl make their bag easier to carry ... jeez Tim thats the advantage of been an adult you get the choice to spend your hard earned dosh on what you want not what other people think you should have ,, if you WANT a 50" tv but i think you should get a toaster ya know what buy the frigging tv mate coz its what you want ..

I dont see anything wrong if you NEED one for yur reasons, but seeing a healthy young man using one, makes me wanna yell "poofter" really loud at them ;)

You really are a sad little man, go on then yell it at people and see what response you get.

And that's the intolerance that I posted on Bobs question about things "I don't like on the forum".

A completely ridiculous reaction to a situation that's really none of your business and, in any case, how do you know just by observation, that the youngsters in question do or don't NEED one as you put it!

I hope that on the day you give way to your urge and shout poofters at them that your not carrying as running away could be hampered if they take offence!

I am very tolerant. Cant you tell...

May I state that i find your tone and intolerance of my opinions rather stazi like?
;)

I'm beginning to wonder if those that get their knickers in a twist about carrying are trying to make up for something. I'm a man, I'm fit, I'm 'ard' as nails me and I'll shout 'poofter' at anyone under 40 not carrying a bag.

Have you actually left school yet? And without knowing all the facts, you insult someone, be it a friend or a stranger? It's folks that have this attitude that make life a misery for others around them.

Yep, and I bet you fart and belch with the best of them while your arm wrestling down the pub.

And by using one they will stay that way and not knacker their back by pulling or carrying. May not be apparent now but 40/50 years down the line they'll be benefiting from using one.Good on them

Why... ?? why would what someone else is doing bother anyone so much ?? do you have the same problem with neighbours or workmates .. do you roar that at your neighbour that bought a ride on mower while you toil away with your push mower ??
more importantly have you ever tried using a leccy trolly ?? are you talking from experience .. doesnt bother me if you have or not .. just wondering if you have experience of what your talking bout or not .. ???
