Electric trolleys - Again

Saw a junior the other day kitted out with PING tour bag and eletric trolley. 1st time I'd seen such a sight. Thought it looked a bit strange, especially so when the kid he was playing with had a beaten up old carry bag with some cheapo clubs! Talk about contrast.

Didn't get me all angry though, just looked a bit odd.

I'll use a trolley if the situation permits (30 degree heat at Camberley Heath springs to mind), but prefer to carry as I'm always hacking about in the rough and it's easier to wade through with a bag on your back than pull your trolley through...or leave your trolley, walk off to find your ball, find it, walk back to your bag, get your club and walk back to your ball. :(

Spotted a twentysomething with one at the weekend.

So?

People that moan about leccy trollies and galvin green or any expensive equipment that is not essential, normally don't have the extra money to spend/waste on them.

Come on Turbo - this has got to be a complete wind up!

I dont recall the advertising where I bought my electric trolley saying "only sold to people who cant carry or pull a manual trolley, or aged and infirmed"

If it's not a wind up then I do agree it's the stupidist post of the day (maybe week)

Chris

If I could afford one I'd buy one and I'm 27.

I find it funny that a lot on here say that you should carry you're bag as it's exercise but say they never go to the gym as they hate exercise but love bacon butties etc :D

this is boring now it seems we have this debate once a month im 29 i carry concrete roof tiles about all day surely when i go do something i enjoy i can use an electric trolly to make my life easier as can anyone else if they want young or old

I'm 31 and seriously considering getting one. If I do, I'll be one of the last of the lower handicappers at my club to get one.
Maybe it'll help me join the rest of the lads and get down even lower?

i have no real reason to use one, but i do. if i could afford it, i'd pay some nubile young filly to carry my clubs. its a feckin hobby, not some macho pseudo-yorkshire wannabee masochistic pursuit. if you want to tell me face to face that you think im "lady-like", then feel free next time you see me...i'll be the bloke strolling up the 18th following my bag, on top of its electric trolley.
oh. and by the way...calling people "lady-like" is a bit disrespectful to most ladies i know, who judging by your asinine observations, would muller you in the car park after the round..

is it too late to add this thread to the "what i dont like about this forum" thread?

LOL... sprayed coffee over the place

Surely this is a wind up. Golf is a game of choice. If you want an electric trolley and can afford one then why not? I'm 24 and use a push trolley but would consider an electric troley.

I can't understand why people dont agree with others using an electric trolley, it's narrow-mindedness like this that stops more people playing the game we all love.

It's wrong that people spend money on electric trolleys when they should spend it on lessons.

Maybe those who don't spend it on the electric trolley would have to spend it on osteopathy!

eh ? someone has (generalising here ok) bad back / knee .. or just unfit or pushing on a bit .. & they need something to make their round a bit more ENJOYABLE & easier on the body .. i know they should get a lesson ... Thatl make their bag easier to carry ... jeez Tim thats the advantage of been an adult you get the choice to spend your hard earned dosh on what you want not what other people think you should have ,, if you WANT a 50" tv but i think you should get a toaster ya know what buy the frigging tv mate coz its what you want ..
