Due to recent illness, I'm buying an electric trolley so I can keep golfing. I have narrowed it down to two (I think), the GoKart and ProTrolley. I saw elsewhere that some of you use the GoKart, which I saw in last month's GM. Any advice on the trolleys, or any other recommendations in similar price bracket? Thanks.

It has to be go-kart all the way for me. Not only is it a really simple design and easy to assemble and take down (it fits into a Fiesta boot no problem) but its easy to clean and the standard 18 hole battery will give you more than enough juice for even the hilliest and longest course.

On top of that their after sales support is brilliant should you have the misfortune to have a problem and they are a real example of how golf customer care should be done. I have no association with the company other than I've read reports on here and so when I was in the market for a trolly it was a simple choice. Ordered it Sunday night and it arrived Tuesday morning.

Smiffy did a review of his for the review section of the forum pages in the April edition of GM which I've copied below

After years of carrying my bag, the screaming agony in my knees proclaimed that enough was enough. Medal cards crumbled as my knees began to ache on the final few holes and my concentration wandered. Sense over bravado finally won. I bit the bullet and bought an electric trolley.

I had read a number of reviews of the new Go Kart trolley (www.gokart.co.uk) and liked what I saw. The £199 price including delivery was more than a match for other big names in electric trolley market. Designed and manufactured in the UK I couldn’t believe how small it was when folded or how easily it fitted together. It has been worth its weight in gold since I’ve used and it’s one of the best pieces of golf equipment I’ve bought. I don’t have to watch what I put in my bag for fear of it being too heavy and worrying about being tired or in too much pain.

It’s very quiet and very simple to operate with just two switches, on/off and speed control. I purchased the standard eighteen hole battery as recommended by Go Kart themselves and used the cart for two rounds without charging (okay I forgot!) and it didn’t struggle. If you are in the market for an electric trolley I can highly recommend Go Kart. The quality is superb and competitively priced. Their customer service is a shining example to the golf industry on how it should be done. Thanks to my Go Kart I’m now playing pain free golf again.

Thanks for that, it was very helpful. I've noticed a few forum members have one so this a more than good enough recommendation for me. It has helped me make up my mind, so it looks like the Go-Kart is the winner.

I ordered it on Sunday July 12th and it arrived on the 14th. I bit the bullet following the advice from people on here about my diabetes making me tired (and you know all about my spectacular crashes over the last 3 holes when in real contention). I used the money I had put aside for the Belfry (before my date with a suregeons scapel became known) and HID treated me to the TM bag. I've still got my 20th anniversary shoes on order (didn't get the SYNG) but ordered from 118 golf (schoolboy error) and even though they were alledgedly in stock they are only due to arrive today after much forthright discussion on Monday. I still have my doubts they'll turn up today.
