Ebay Question

Hi all,


I am a total no0b when it comes to selling on Ebay. The other day I sold a Jordan F1 Race suit, I was shocked to find out that Paypal take a cut of the money made. I have today recieved an email from Ebay asking for £21, are they wanting money from the sale too? It does not say what the money is for but I guess its for this sale? that would be over %20.

Yup, ebay have done themselves out of a lot of business Id say by hiking their percentages.

Especially when you take into account they own Paypal as well so already take a peice of the payment

Ye I feel like a mug, but I guess lots of people buy and sell on it still. Gosh I feel sorry for the guy who sold me his 909 D2, he got robbed by me then ebay then paypal, he must have a saw a$$

best thing is wait for free listing periods
they normally advertise them every so often

Ye I feel a bit of a fool not knowing about this.

Free listings aren't free listings. They just waive the insertion fee, which normally isn't a great deal.

I've never had Paypal charge me though, other than when someone tried to use a credit card on Paypal.
