I was in my local Marks and Sparks today and for £20 I bought.

A large chicken
Two sirloin steaks
Two packets of croquette potatos
A large apple pie
A large strawberry trifle
Two bottles of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc

Bit of a bargain I thought.

Love M&S tenner deals! Shame they are only every 3 weeks now. Large chicken does 3 meals too! (roast, curry, soup)

A staff member was quietly controlling an organised gaggle of the blue rinse brigade when the Sauvignon needed re-stocking.
Two staff members were fighting a losing battle trying to re stock the food shelves.

It was chaos a tell ya chaos.

Can't beat the m&s deals. Well worth it.

My local m&s is closed on Sunday and shuts early on a Saturday afternoon. They put all the fresh stuff on offer early doors on Saturday. It's like a bloody stampead every week!

prob been cheaper to buy them all sep

Really? Where are you getting your food? Large chicken you're looking at £5 at least, two decent steaks are normally around £5 each, so then he's getting two packs of croquette potatoes, 2 large desserts and two bottles of wine for a fiver. That's a bloody good deal.

Must admit I usually shop at Fortnum and Masons as I can't stand the smell of the common people in places like M&S but that sounds pretty good.

Where are you getting good stakes at a fiver each???? Get me some please.

You aren't getting all that for less than £20 no matter what branch you shop at.

I remember the good old days a couple of years back when M&S Fillet Steak was £5 a piece. But yeah, you're looking at £7-8 for a decent steak, makes it even more of a deal.

That said, our local Tesco butcher counter seems to have a 1/3 off steak permanently and I normally get two chunky and fairly lean Rumps for £8 or £9 thanks to the saving.
Ah man, now I want a steak for my dinner.

Was only a month or so back 'we' were collectively criticising the supermarkets for not paying a fair price for milk...

Now 'we' are praising M&S for screwing their suppliers to enable 'us' to eat in for a tenner...

Really? you dont see them running it at cost or a loss leader to get people into the stores? Hence why they only run it every 3 weeks now?
