I like to get to the course in good time and have a warm up. Today I arrived for a team comp and I was 6 days early got my dates muddled and the comp is next Saturday fortunately I only live 5 mins from the course

I have done this in the County Championship when representing my club. in fairness to myself the wrong date had been displayed on the noticeboard and nobody thought to check all the team had been informed once the correct date was displayed.

We has a similar thing happen on a trip organised by a group of us back in the old Golf Magic days....one guy drove 200 miles to turn up a day early.
