eagle @ SI 1 ...

no not me, but the young fella in our three ball yesterday during presidents day. par 4 with OB all down the right. he hit a driver and then 5 iron which landed short of the green, then rolled on, then in the hole! amazing!

ive never heard of anyone doing that at this hole before. im sure some of the big hitters have gone close with wedges before. it was the talk of the clubhouse after and as bad a round as i was having it was great to watch!

anyone else ever get an eagle at SI 1?

I hit the flag on ours with a 3 hybrid from the rough.

182 yards, 1 bounce, hit the flag, stopped about 10ft away.

closest ive been to holing out for an eagle this year was at our par 4 10th. short hole with lake left and ob right. only straight hitters and people with poor course management take anything other than an iron to it. wind assisted i hit 5 iron, then 8 iron and it landed, rolled, clinked pin and sat 3 feet away. missed putt . SI 7!

ive never even been close to an eagle at SI 1 !!

Not quite but my first ever eagle was a hole out from about 170 yards on our par5 10th which is a SI 2.

your the overnight leader bozza! nice one! i holed out on our par 5 2nd for eagle last year from 130yards. didnt care about the round after that!

I had an eagle a couple of weeks ago (29th May) but on our par4 SI 13 hole. SW from 80 yards and in she went.

This is my second eagle at this course and also at this hole. I Eagled it last year in May aswell.

the big man had a hole in one at a double stroking hole for 6 points - but it wasnt SI 1...still, 6 points, sigh...

I've had a few eagles in my time the Best one I remember was this winter we were playing a match, came to the last hole all square. I hit a good drive on the 370yrd par four took a three wood as I remember 6i to the green one bounce and in the cup. You should have seen their faces .
