.. narrowly missed tonight. Nonetheless I intend to "dine out" on this story for at least a week.

Lipped one myself last night but happy with the birdie,the holes usually a b****r but wind behind last night

It's a strange one, walking off with a birdie having missed the eagle putt there is almost a sense of disappointment.
If you said to me on the tee "Would you like a birdie at this hole", disappointment wouldn't enter into it.
