How does the Amature part of this work?
Will McIlroy be playing with his dad for example and a pro who didn't finish in the top 20 team event play with another pro?
Would the pro playing with a pro have an advantage over a pro playing with an Amature?

I cant understand it Spoff but this is what the website says -
The championship will be played over 72 holes of stroke play with one 18 hole round  being played each day. There will be 168 Professionals and 168  amateurs  taking part in the event.
Played in teams of two, comprising of one professional and one  amateur, the competitors will play each of the three courses in  rotation over the first three days with the final round being played over  the Old Course at St Andrews. After three rounds the field will  be reduced to the Top-60 Professionals and those tieing for 60th  place and the leading 20 teams.
There will be two competitions running concurrently: An individual  tournament for the Professionals and a Team competition which  will be of the lower of the professional's and his amateur partner's  score at each hole.
Amateur men must have a recognised handicap of 18 or better that is verified by the player's home club. Amateur ladies must have a handicap of 24 or better.
Dyson is making the Old Lady look like a pitch and putt!

Most of the pros are going out in three balls. Others are out in four balls if there's an amateur or two involved.

Just back from a day at the Old Course Luke Donald played with Jamie Redknapp and McIlroy played with his father.
McIlroy seemed all out of sorts and not interested for some reason whereas Dyson was hyper as usual and played great golf on the front 9 and steady on the back. I think he was a bit annoyed when lining up his putt on the Par 5 and McIlroys second shot raced onto the green.
Again the coursewas there for the taking as there was no wind at all, all in all a good day watching the best on the European Tour.
