Hi All

Looking for courses to play while the weather is bad and ticking a few more off the list.

Anybody able to recommend a nice course in midlands area that stays relatively dry and not using temps?

TIA

Chris

Define Midlands.

I have played over 100 courses in the area generally referred to as the Midlands but some are 100 miles apart.

So it rather depends upon where you are based and how far you are prepared to travel.

Moorland course at Breadsall Priory - famously playable in winter

Whittington Heath - Litchfield

Beau Desert - Cannock Chase

Notts, Sherwood and Coxmoor near Mansfield

Luffenham Heath - Rutland

Moseley Golf Club in Birmingham. Some of the best greens you can get anywhere.
It is actually in the club's constitution that there should never be any temporary greens. If the course is open then it's on proper greens. Also only 3 temp tees off the mats.
